About the Fellowship Program
The Interactive Mechanics Fellowship Program is a part-time, low-residency program for entry level designers and/or developers. This paid fellowship aims to build capacity for representation and inclusion in the technology field. Learn about our 2017 fellows and their projects here: http://interactivemechanics.com/fellowship/.
About the monthly roundtables
Fellows meet once a month at our Old City office to participate in a roundtable discussion with an industry leader. Meetings include:

*30 minutes of introductions and project updates
*a 15 minute speaker presentation
*35 minutes of group discussion

About the speaker role
We ask you to join us from 6:00-7:30 PM, prepare and deliver a 15 minute presentation on your selected topic, and then participate in a group discussion on that topic. In exchange, we offer a $100 stipend for the evening (plus dinner!).

We're especially interested in hearing from folks who are underrepresented in tech, and past fellows have expressed interest in hearing from people with various levels of experience - young, new-to-tech, and first time speakers welcome!

We're looking for topics related to soft skills and workplace culture issues. Below are potential topics we'd love to see, but we're totally open to other ideas as well.

Talk Description
Please share a summary of your talk. Note: We see this fellowship as a mutual learning experience, so we encourage the fellows to share not only their questions for you, but their own perspectives, experience, and expertise. While you're leading the conversation, it's important to us that it is a conversation, rather than a lecture. (500 character limit)

Interest and Relevant Experience
Tell us about any relevant experience you have with the topic you've proposed and with speaking. Do you have a personal connection to this topic? Why do you think this topic will be relevant for our Fellows? Is this your first time speaking? Have you spoken on this topic before? Prior experience isn't a requirement, and this can be brief bullets - we just want to get a sense of where you're coming from. (500 character limit)
