The BMC International Summer Climbing Meet takes place from the 12th to the 19th of May and is based out of the Climber's Club Hut in the Llanberis Pass, North Wales.
During the week guests from around the world will be teamed up with UK host climbers, who will show them the full delights of British trad climbing.
The cut off for completing this application form is 8:00 pm on Wednesday 23rd of January. A panel of three people; John Harrisson; Clare Sheridan and Damien O Sullivan will select two climbers - one male and one female - from applicants received.
The two applicants selected by Mountaineering Ireland will be notified on or before Wednesday 30th of January. The BMC will confirm places on the 11th of February. Please note that if the meet is oversubscribed, places will be reduced to one per country.
The cost of attending the meet will be covered by Mountaineering Ireland. Included in this cost is seven nights accommodation in the hut, three catered meals per day, nightly presentations, six days' climbing with experienced host climbers, optional trad clinic and transfer from Manchester airport. Participants will be responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the meet (Manchester Airport).
