Script Submission Form
Atlanta Micro Theater is piloting a weekend of programing in early June that will bring live theater to the BeltLine.
The programming will consist of three 15-minute plays that will each be preformed 5 to 8 times per night during this pilot run.
This programing is looking to reach the tens of thousands of people that enjoy the Eastern trail of the BeltLine every weekend. It will provide short, low commitment theater to the community, while simultaneously acting as a public laboratory for the artists.
The Writer, Director and Actors of each play will be able to get instant feedback from the audience during this short format production and then have the chance to change and adapt, should they choose, for their next show... only 15 minutes later.
The scripts can be written in "screenplay" format.
Scripts must be 15 pages, 15 minute run-time, using industry standard formatting. No more, no less.
2 to 4 characters. No more than 4.
Stories should be character driven, not plot driven.
There will be little to no set design - so keep that in mind when creating your locations/environments.
All stories and subject matter are welcomed, but keep in mind that it should be universally appropriate for all audiences... at least durning this pilot programing. _____
Once scripts are chosen - local actors and a director will be attached to each play.
If you're interested in submitting a script do so at the form below.
Submissions are rolling - our first showcase will be July 19th and 20th.
Feel free to share with other writers.
Only scripts in .PDF format - written in the industry standard style will be read.
Make sure Google Drive or DropBox links do not require a 'permission request' - permission will not be requested and projects will not be read/considered.
