The Sumter Junior Welfare League is a non-profit organization comprised of women who volunteer time on behalf of the greater Sumter, South Carolina community.
The purpose of The League shall be to foster interest among its members in the social, economic, educational, cultural and civic conditions of the community, to make efficient their volunteer service, and to develop their potential as continuing community leaders.
Members agree to a 10-year committment to serve the Sumter Community alongside various volunteer organizations. During each League year,
- Members meet once a month, September-May, excluding December.
- Each member commits to serving 21 volunteer hours and
- 10 Wishing Well shifts at the Prisma Tuomey hospital giftshop/canteen.
