Dear Parents and Students:
The West Orange High School Winter Color Guard is one of the most award-winning groups the campus has to offer. The winter color guard is a high-energy team that combines the artistry of color guard with athleticism of dance. This team competes indoors from January through April locally. Anyone can be a part of the color guard. Please look over all of the information included carefully and follow all appropriate deadlines.

www.wohsmusic.org and click on Home - Band Calendar. Attendance at all practices and competitions is mandatory. The season is a few months long and for it to be successful we need the support of all students and parents.
The 2019-2020 season begins in mid-November. The participation fee per student to participate in the winter color guard varies if you are part of the Junior Varsity or Varsity team. The JV team participation fee is $100.00 and the Varsity team participation fee is $150.00. This cost will include food for competition days throughout the season (supplied by the Music Boosters), a season T-shirt, and show flip-flops. Extra supplies will be needed if your child is a first-time color guard member, including a warm-up jacket and special performance undergarments.
The Music Boosters organization is an integral part of the marching band and color guard and it is extremely important for every family to be involved with this wonderful group. During the fall and winter seasons, the Music Boosters offers many fundraising opportunities. I strongly encourage all families to participate in all fundraisers to offset the costs of participation. The participation fee includes membership in the Music Boosters.
In order to prepare for two teams this season the staff must have accurate information for all members.
The Registration Form must be submitted by December 1.
The Payment for Participation Fee and Guard Wear must be submitted by December 13.
Please note that there will be absolutely no refunds after January 1, 2020 for any reason.
