Grades K -12 Chromebook Policies & Procedures
Students in grades K -12 will be issued a Chromebook computer to utilize during the 2022-2023 school year.  We continue to provide our students with effective technology resources that enhance their educational experience.

This form contains links to the following documents: School Board Policy 237.1 District-Issued Chromebooks; Administrative Regulation 237.1 District-Issued Chromebooks; Acceptable Use of Internet Policy; Acceptable Use of Network by Students, and The School District of Jenkintown•Student Chromebook Guidelines.

The policies and regulations specifically address rules for proper use of Chromebooks and potential financial responsibility for students and parents.  Please make sure you read the policies and regulations carefully.  For future reference, copies of the policies and regulations are available on the district webpage (located here: https://goo.gl/WuCrwN).  

ONLY STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THIS FORM BY THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL WILL BE ISSUED A CHROMEBOOK. Please make sure you read the documents and regulations included in this form.  A parent and his/her student must type their names at the bottom of this form to serve as signatures.

I have read the policies and regulations.  I understand and agree that in addition to the information in the policies and regulations that if the District determines that a student failed to adequately care for the District-issued Chromebook or violates District rules of policies, then the School District may terminate student's ability to use the Chromebook.  If the Chromebook is damaged,  the student may be liable for the cost of the repair to the Chromebook.  If the School District determines that the student acted with the intent to damage the District-issued Chromebook then, in addition to any other available remedies, the District may refer the matter for appropriate civil, criminal and / or juvenile proceedings.
