THANK YOU for wanting to participate in one or more of our TBI Virtual training events for TBI 404 "IT'S NOT JUST ACADEMICS" - COGNITIVE INTERVENTIONS AFTER BRAIN INJURY OR NEURO-IMPAIRMENT this year. The TBI 404 training is designed for professionals working with youth (and adults), for parents and caregivers of survivors of brain injury, and for any interested community members!

THIS 404 SESSION IS VALUABLE FOR ANYONE WORKING IN THE SCHOOLS OR WITH YOUR: Counselors, general education teachers, SPED teachers, related service personnel, administrators, secure care (DOC), support staff, and parents.

This virtual training will include advanced information on acquired brain injuries and how to utilize an understanding of neurodevelopment AND brain-behavior relationships in order to identify and effectively impact students in the classroom and in the community. Focus will be on neuro-imaging; the impact of early trauma; assessments to identify assets/deficits; appropriate academic strategies targeting executive skills; and the role of problem solving in academic coursework, STEM fields and transition. The adult education format will be lecture, dialogue, and open Q&A time. Implications for both 504 and IDEA will be addressed as they impact transition services and the ADA.

All materials are provided for the event including PPT handouts, activity sheets and resources.

HOURS: Training: 6.0 hours (four (4) modules - two (2) will be covered in each live session)

WHERE: Virtually via GoToMeeting

BREAKS: We will have a 30 minute "break" scheduled in the middle where you can get up and walk away from
your computer, tablet, or phone. Session will still be open but no lecture during that time.
