January Hybrid Confirmation
Hybrid Groups to Start in January:
It is with great optimism that we have set new dates to increase the volume of students attending school on a two-day in-person hybrid model from 8:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.. These dates have been set with input from Mason County Health and Southside Staff and Families. Based on our earlier responses from families and staff our first group will be Third and Fourth graders assigned to a BB schedule starting on Thursday, January 21. All grade levels assigned to AA (Monday/Tuesday) schedule will begin attending on January 25. All grade levels of students assigned to the BB schedule will attend on January 28 and 29. While not the same as returning full time, it is a big step in being able to work more closely with students by staff. We will continue to offer remote only options for families with that preference. Remote only students will continue to pick up packets for each week. Students participating in the two-day in-person hybrid model will continue with remote learning for the three days that they will not be assigned to a class at Southside. For clarification see chart on email from Mrs. Bolender earlier today.
Once results are tabulated from the survey below, students and their families will be informed whether they are assigned to A or B group, and information will be sent home about COVID expectations and required procedures.
