2024 Discovering PLACE Summer Institute for Educators: Nurturing Roots of Justice: Integrating Equity and Environmental Stewardship into Michigan Food System Education
This professional development opportunity seeks to advance equitable Michigan K-12 teacher learning and curriculum access for educators related to food systems, with specific attention paid to environmental, climate, and racial justice. This professional learning opportunity will provide educators with a facilitator guide and two-day training opportunity to deepen their comprehension of the socio-environmental facets of food systems.

Only ten (10) spots are available. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.
Individuals and/or school teaching teams (more than one teacher from the same building) are encouraged to apply. Please register by June 28, 2024 to participate.

The Summer Institute will occur over two days: July 22 & 23, 2024 from 8:30am - 3:30pm in Flint, Michigan. If you have questions, contact Leyla Sanker at leyla@greatlakesstewardship.org.
