Postgraduate Student Dispute Escalation
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS FORM?
This form enables a postgraduate student to escalate a dispute and/or complaint after all processes have been exhausted. The postgraduate student need to raise the issue first with his supervisor and if it is not resolved the matter should be escalated to the HOD. If the matter is still not resolved it must be escalated to the Executive Dean of the Faculty for resolution.
However, if all these steps were taken, and the student still feels aggrieved he or she may use this form to escalate the matter.
WHO FILLS IN THIS FORM?
The aggrieved postgraduate student.
WHERE DOES THIS FORM GO?
The Senior Director of the Postgraduate School.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THIS FORM IS SUBMITTED?
When you refer the complaint to the Postgraduate School, the matter will be investigated and, if needed, referred to the Senate Higher Degrees Committee for resolution.
