2021 RCC JUNIOR TENNIS PROGRAM POLICIES

Cancellations:
Richmond Country Club reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum registration requirement 24 hours prior to the start of the class. Cancellation of a private lesson made by the participant with less than 24-hours’ notice or a group within one week of the start date will result in a charge equal to the full invoiced amount. If our facility is forced to cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances participants will be refunded or given credits for future lessons.

Refunds:
Refunds will not be considered for participant schedule changes, conflicts or common sickness (including vacations, school activities, work schedules, school tennis, cold, sore throat or other non-emergency reasons). Extended illness or Injuries - Refunds will only be considered for positive Covid-19 test results and mandatory isolation or major injuries that endure over a week with the discretion of the Director of Racquets and Athletics.   A request for a refund must be submitted in writing, with an attached letter from a physician or medical authority.   There are no refunds for missed days. Make up days will only be considered if there is space available. Make up days cannot carry over to future terms.

Court Attire:
Proper tennis attire is mandatory and must be worn by all participants. Only proper tennis shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses, leggings/tights (with shorts or skirts on top) and non-marking tennis shoes are allowed on court. Those without proper tennis attire will not be allowed on court.

Silent Cell Phones/No Outside Food:
Devices must be turned off or switched to silent or vibrate mode.  Discreet, non-verbal (silent) communication (text messaging, email and voice mail retrieval) is permitted. Voice cell phone calls may be made or taken in designated areas only, Club Parking Lot, Golf Shop, Business Centre, Indoor Tennis Breezeway, or Telephone Alcove in the Upper Hallway.  Outside food is not permitted inside RCC Property.

Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Risk and Consent:
I have reviewed the description of the RCC Tennis programs and feel that I have sufficiently informed myself about the nature of the program and activities involved. I acknowledge that there are risks, dangers, and hazards associated with my child’s participation in the program including but not limited to: impact and collision with other players, instructors, spectators or officials; impact with objects or equipment used in connection with playing tennis; changes in the type of surface and the condition of each surface, including court surface, hallways, shower facilities, stairs and change rooms; loss of balance; failure to play safely within one's own ability; failure to play against others of equal stature or ability; theft; consumption of food and drink (whether made by professionals or by nonprofessionals); negligence of other participants or RCC staff. I also give permission for program staff members to administer first aid treatment to my child, and acknowledge that I will be responsible for any medical or other charges in connection with my child’s treatment. Participants are expected to be respectful and considerate towards other participants, RCC staff including all instructors, and external partner organization instructors. Participants are expected and required to follow the directions of all instructors, to stay in close proximity to their instructors during the program and not leave without consent and informing instructors. If there is a breach of these rules, instructors will discuss the issue with the participant and/or their parents or guardian. In the event that there is a continued breach of these rules, RCC may require the participant to withdraw from the remainder of the program, without reimbursement of any fees. I confirm that I have discussed these policies and expectations with my child. I hereby consent to my child’s participation in the program on the terms and conditions set out above by signing below.
