Join Skagit Land Trust at beautiful Minkler Lake to remove invasive English Ivy. This conservation area is home to elk, waterfowl, and salmon so we might see some wildlife as we work.
What to expect: We will spend the day pulling off invasive Ivy. Getting to the work area will involve hiking approximately .25-.5 miles off trail and traversing over uneven ground to access the ivy. This may involve scrambling over logs and bushwhacking. We will be working up to 1 mile from the parking area, so please plan to stay for the duration of the work party (10am - 2pm).
Ages: 16+ (minor releases of liability required if under 18)
Supplies to bring: Long-sleeved shirt, pants, sturdy shoes or boots, raingear, water for the day, backpack, lunch & snacks. If you have spare pieces of large cardboard please bring them. This will give us a place to put the ivy we pull so it doesn't take root again!
Tools to bring if you have them: None required
