The CREATE Summer Camp is a six-day, five-night program that introduces students to careers in construction, re-development, engineering, architecture and the trades. Students will design and build a project for a local nonprofit, complete a needs assessment, meet industry executives, tour active job sites, explore Sacramento and stay at CSU, Sacramento.

The CREATE Summer Camp is open to high school students that are part of a construction related program. Preference for the program is given to students participating in the CREATE Mentoring, Design Build, BITA and ACE Mentor Programs. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis up until May 15th. Only a limited number of scholarships are available.

The Registration Fee is $1450 and includes all housing, food, transportation and supply expenses during the course of the Summer Camp. Scholarship Award Recipients will have a reduced registration fee of $250 ($1,200 Scholarship). Financial aid is available to cover the additional $250 for those who qualify.

**Individuals are limited to receiving this scholarship once in their lifetime.

Students are responsible for their own transportation in getting to Sacramento State University on Sunday, July 12 and transportation home on Friday, July 17. Students are also asked to bring a laptop or tablet device if available for design activities. Students are supervised by staff from the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange Education Foundation and contracted college mentors.
