You may be aware that the Technology Vision 2035 (TV 2035) document, prepared by TIFAC which was released by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in January 2016, has drawn the attention of policy makers, researchers, academics towards identifying their future agenda. Primarily, the document is focussed on improvement of life of people through a technology driven path. This document has addressed the needs of all categories of Indians. We are glad to inform that TIFAC is organizing "Technology Vision 2035 Dissemination workshop for North-Eastern region" on 15th February, 2018 (Thursday). As part of our dissemination programme, we have decided to discuss this document amongst the people of North-Eastern States for their knowledge and carving out NE specific action plan. In view of this, a workshop is scheduled on 15th February, 2018 in association with IIT – Guwahati (Technical Partner) and National Council for Science Museums (NCSM) as(Organizing Partner) at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati. In this workshop two of the twelve very important prerogatives identified in the TV 2035 exercise i.e. i) Universal Health Care and Public Hygiene and ii) Disaster and Climate Resilience will be discussed. Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and presently Chairman -TIFAC; Prof. Gautam Biswas, Director, IIT - Guwahati and Sh. A.S. Manekar, Director General, NCSM will grace the occasion.
