2020-2021 Queen's Gambit Partnership Cohort Application
To be considered for chess programming for the 2020-2021 academic year, please complete this application by August 1. We will announce partners by mid August. Regardless of the outcome, someone at Queen's Gambit will be in touch.
Application Overview
For the 2020-2021 academic year, Queen’s Gambit is starting the first cohort for after-school programming. The cohort will include 10 programming partners to advance the state of learning in Greater Pittsburgh. We have 5 spots available for scholarships where partners receive free chess programming. If you do not receive a scholarship, we will work with you to ensure funding is not a barrier to quality chess programming. Unfunded programs traditionally cost $250 per session (there are 3 major sessions per year).

The partnership will allow Queen’s Gambit to build a robust chess after-school program and allow the organizations to collaborate on initiatives to support the quality of life in the community. Through “Cohort Imagine Days,” leaders in the community and program partners will come together to learn about the benefits of chess and discuss social justice and economic development.

Special preference is given to underserved communities and low income areas.
Please note: No question alone determines the result of this application. We want to gain a better understanding of your organization and community needs.
Applications for 2020-2021 school year open May 1 and close August 1.
