The MathCounts club is a competition math club with Mr. Lambert that promotes students who are very passionate in mathematics. This club is looking for talented middle schoolers who want to learn as much math as they can and compete against other schools in math competitions.
Meetings times will be determined based on information provided in this interest form on available times, from 9/26 until the end of the competition season. The club fee is $75. Applications are due by 9/5/23. This club has a capacity of 12 students, the top 12 applicants based on previous academic performance in mathematics will be decided; accepted applicants will be contacted with information regarding paying the club fee of $75, meeting dates, and more.
The first competition date is guaranteed, the second and third competition dates are contingent upon performance in first competition:
2/10/24 - Southern Nevada Chapter Competition
3/2/24 - State Competition
5/12/24-5/13/24 - National Competition
The criteria for joining the club is as follows:
- Student pays $75 club fee.
- Ability to attend most club meetings TBD.
- This club has a capacity of 12 students, the top 12 applicants based on previous academic performance in mathematics will be decided; accepted applicants will be contacted with more information.
