Webinar: UK Prep Schools: First Steps to Academic Excellence
The UK has over 500 prep schools (short for preparatory schools), which are a popular choice for students seeking top education from a young age. Prep schools get children ready for entrance exams at selective grammar schools and the top independent schools in the UK.
In this 4th seminar of i-Learner’s UK Education series, Giles Delaney, headmaster of St John's Beaumont prep school for boys, will share tips on application and give insight into what schools like his offer young learners.

Mr. Giles Delaney
Mr Giles Delaney has been the headmaster of St John’s Beaumont for more than 15 years. The oldest purpose-built private preparatory school in the UK, St John’s prepares students for entry to Eton, Harrow, Charterhouse, Wellington, Winchester and other top UK schools. Mr Delaney graduated from Oxford with a Master of Science in teaching and learning, having obtained his PGCE from Cambridge. His expertise in education gives St John’s students an exceptional learning environment that prepares them well for future success.
Marcus graduated from the University of Sussex with a degree in Law. He lived in the UK for over 11 years, where he was a boarder at St John’s Beaumont Preparatory School and later Oundle School. With his first-hand experience of preparatory schools and boarding schools and his passion for education, he is in the perfect position to help parents identify the most suitable schools for their children and support students as they prepare for school applications and life in the UK.
