CONSERVATION EASEMENTS
-----Kristina Geiger, Minnesota Land Trust
Minnesota Land Trust works with landowners and local communities to restore and permanently protect land through conservation easements and effective land management.
Kristina will talk about using conservation easements as an estate planning tool, implications for income and estate tax benefits, and IRS requirements.

WASHINGTON COUNTY LEGACY PROGRAM
-----June Mathiowetz, Washington County
June will provide information about the county’s legacy program, which works with communities and private land owners to purchase and permanently protect high quality natural habitat in Washington County.

RESOURCES AND SUPPORT FROM WASHINGTON COUNTY AND WASHINGTON CONSERVATION DISTRICT
-----Angie Hong, Washington Conservation District
Angie will provide information about the Green Acres, Rural Preserves, and Sustainable Forest Incentives Program in Washington County, and will also share information about free site visits, support for conservation planning, and other services provided through the Washington Conservation District.

Workshop hosted by the Washington Conservation District and the East Metro Water Resources Education Program.
