MO-KAN-NE is the regional chapter (Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska) of the Council for Opportunity in Education, supporting Federal TRIO & Gear Up Programs that help disadvantaged students access and succeed in higher education through services like tutoring, counseling, and mentoring. This organization connects TRIO and Gear Up programs, professionals, and alumni in the region, offering professional development, scholarships, and networking to empower low-income and first-generation students. 

What they do:
- Connect TRIO & Gear Up programs: They link various TRIO and Gear Up initiatives across Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- Support students: Provide scholarships and recognition for TRIO & Gear Up participants in the region.
- Offer professional development: Host events and training for TRIO and GEAR Up staff.
- Build community: Work to create alumni networks and engage them in a variety of ways.
