Art in the Park
Art in the Park is a community course in which community artists meet at Sloan Park and work on current projects, expand on future projects and attempt new skills. The course is an exchange of ideas and skills and is open to all skill levels. Each course offers short periods of instruction on basic skills and ends with a short crit.

July 25 (Sketch Demo and Tool Prep)
August 1 (Basic image transfer demo)
August 8 (Basic oil painting demo)
August 15 (Basic oil Painting demo 2)
August 22 (Basic Acrylic Painting demo)
August 29 (Portrait Demo)
September 5 (Narrative Demo)
Class time & Location:
9-11am at Sloan Park
*ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN TOOLS FOR EACH CLASS*
Tools needed for first class:
2 Pencils, Charcoals sticks, Large butcher paper 36x24, Reinforced Artist Easel Stand, 7' Strap, Sitting Stool, and Reinforced Artist Easel Stand
Tools needed beyond:
Canvas (Any size), 12 Paint Basic Oil Paints, Basic Paint Brush Set, Palette Knife, Galkyd Refined Linseed Oil, Gamsol a 37ml tube of non-solvent Gel, Large Wooden Oval-Shaped Palette with Thumb Hole, Rags, Small Jars half fill with Mineral Spirits
