Project 17 Training - Local Authority Support for Families with No Recourse to Public Funds
Project 17 training on accessing local authority support for families with no recourse to public funds.

Training will take place online via Zoom.  The session will run 10 am -2.30 pm, with two short breaks and a lunch break.

Filling in this form does not guarantee you a space on the training.

This is an interactive session so we are limiting the number of participants. There are only 25 places available. We will confirm whether or not you have a place on the training within one week. However, we will operate a waiting list.

This session will cover:
-Understanding ‘no recourse to public funds’
-Identifying immigration status and entitlements
-Support for families: section 17 of the Children Act 1989
-Child in need assessments and human rights assessments
-Risks to requesting support
-Common problems accessing support (and how to overcome them)

Please note, the training does not look at support for those without children.
