The International Commission of Jurists - European Institutions (ICJ-EI) and Partners are inviting you to join workshops for lawyers – on using strategic litigation in order to protect judicial independence and the Rule of Law in the EU. The workshops are organised as part of the ROLL project.
We call on lawyers and representatives of Civil society organisations (CSOs) from Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Malta and Spain to apply by 21 April 2023!
The three workshops, in English, will be held in person with a possibility to participate online in:
- Brussels on 13-14 June 2023 - topic: Institutional independence of the judiciary and autonomy of the prosecution service, including governance structures and procedures
- Malta in November 2023 - topic: Appointment procedures for the judiciary and prosecution and freedom of expression of judges
- Prague in March 2024 - topic: Disciplinary procedures and accountability of judges and prosecutors and judicial ethics and accountability
Each workshop will cover capacity building in international legal framework on the specific issues, practical discussions on challenges linked to litigation, practical tips, recommendations on litigation strategies and ways forward.*All costs related to the workshops will be covered by the organizers.
