In keeping in the spirit of the Truth and Reconciliation 'Calls to Action' and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls 'Calls to Justice,' the ISU provides funding for Undergraduate students/student groups across the University of Alberta to facilitate Indigenous-based activities and education-related events. Primarily, this funding is to help support individuals and groups across the University of Alberta to:

     1) Organize an event or series of events (with start and end dates)

     2) Undertake a project (with a start and end date)

Importantly, in order to be considered for funding the applicant must demonstrate that the event or project aligns with the following two funding requirements:

     1) Is focused on either Indigenous cultures or educating the public; AND

     2) Include Indigenous Peoples' input in the planning/facilitation of the event or project.

Priority will be given to:

1) Events at the University of Alberta.
