A mentor can be a great resource for dental students and new dentists. They can help...
- Explore career possibilities
- Network with colleagues
- Understand the consequences of debt
- Stay motivated and focused on goals
- Work through problem solving
- Understand the State Board process
- Meet members of the dental community (suppliers, lab technicians)
The beauty of the Mentorship Network is that it is flexible. Many mentors and students communicate via phone and email (so geography isn't a factor) while others meet in person. You can design your experience to fit your schedule. No matter what stage of your career you are in, students will benefit from hearing about your triumphs and struggles and, most importantly, from the knowledge that they have someone cheering them on along the way.
Each participant has the option to be placed in mentor circle where numerous mentors and mentees can collaborate with one another.
Interested new dentists should fill out the form below to be assigned a MSDA member new dentist or dental student mentee.
