ALTA47: Voices in Translation

Are you attending ALTA's conference for the first time this year? Or are you a seasoned expert of punctuated panels, riveting readings, and dynamic Declamación? If you are looking for an "in" to this year's programming, or if you want to be someone else's, the Wayfinders program is for you. Our community is growing, and as we see attendance increase, we know you want ALTA47 to be as warm, welcoming, and intimate an experience as we do. Our goal is to pair up translators joining ALTA programming for the first time with those who know it best.

How it works:
Meet in person with a Wayfinder or Wayfindee at ALTA47. Fill out this form by October 7, 2024 to be connected with another translator. Please only fill out the form once!

ALTA staff will connect you to another translator by email, and the two of you can take it from there. We suggest you both attend the opening reception! Then, you're welcome to continue the conversation if you choose. Those who have attended in the past can share tips about how best to navigate ALTA's conference offerings, and together you can do what ALTA attendees do best: talk translation!
