👟 WHAT: Apex Friendship Elementary PTA is excited for the Running Stars Run Club fall 2026 season! This is an active, healthy club for students who like to run, jog, walk, and improve their physical fitness, while also building friendship and camaraderie amongst the entire school community. We welcome all students grades K-5!
👟 HOW: Students will walk/run laps around the track or in front of the AF campus and collect "foot" charms for every session they complete. They will earn different color charms each week. Students will be able to take home their charm bracelets (or can be attached to a backpack) as a recognition for all the miles they've completed throughout the year.
👟WHO: The club is open to all students and WCPSS approved parent volunteers.
👟WHEN and WHERE: The club will meet on Friday mornings from 8:00-8:45 a.m. at the Apex Friendship Elementary back field and track. Students are to be dropped off at the field with a Run Club representative at 7:50 a.m. Students will be escorted to the school building at 8:45 a.m. Club communication, updates, and announcements will be handled via email.
Start Date: Friday, September 18, 2026 (weather permitting)
End Date: Friday, November 6, 2026 (November 13 if we have a rain out - 8 weeks total)
Please complete registration by September 11 if your student is interested. Families will be notified by email on Monday, September 14, about club expectations and reminders for the first day of run club.
