Making Christmas Wishes Come True:  Helping Hands Adopt-A-Family Initiative!
Firstly, we'd like to say thank you so much for working with us to help make Christmas special for those in need in our community.  Without your support we would not be able to help so many!  Last year, because of you, we were able to provide 300 hampers for nearly 1200 folks in our community (gifts + Christmas meal)!  

This year we have 4 options available to our sponsors:
  1. Direct Sponsorship -- you select the family, shop (gifts and/or food), wrap (or not depending on the families wishes), and deliver to the family directly (if you are both willing) or drop the hamper off to Helping Hands and we will deliver for you :)
  2. Indirect Sponsorship -- you select the family to sponsor and provide Helping Hands with the funds to shop for the family.  Our volunteers will drop of their hamper directly to them :)
  3. General Sponsorship -- you provide Helping Hands with funds, and we will allot them to any families that have not been directly or indirectly sponsored.  Helping Hands volunteers will shop and deliver their hamper directly to them.
  4. The Gift of Your Time -- We are always in awe of everyone that comes together behind the scenes to make Christmas magic happen!  If you are interested being one of our volunteers, please fill out this FORM and someone from our team will be in touch (please keep in mind, we are also volunteers with other jobs and sometimes it takes us a few days to reply) :)

We are also doing things a little differently!  We'd love for sponsors to give us their information via this form (it will be kept confidential), and if Option 1 or 2 was selected let us know which family # you would like to sponsor below.  One of our volunteers will send you a confirmation email with the family's story and wish list.

Sponsors that select Option 3 -- we have multiple ways for you to donate towards our Christmas hampers.  We are also super excited to let you know we can offer tax receipts this year!!  We will email you from our christmasmagic.hhgp@gmail.com account with more details!

Keeping in mind, post Covid it's been reported that 1 in 5 families in Alberta are having to access a food bank and are struggling with food insecurity.
