We're always looking into our crystal ball to see what the future holds, and the one big trend in the fitness industry is online, virtual training (having access to classes and trainers on your computer so you can exercise from home). Peloton currently sells a spin bike and offers virtual spin classes for a monthly fee. Countless personal trainers are now offering their services via the internet, giving you access to their programs and library of exercise videos for a fee. Because we have so many busy moms as members, we're contemplating creating a member-only website that has workouts, classes, and 12 week programs (videos included) that you'll be able do to from home or at the gym. Of course, it would be free for current 12 month members, but a monthly charge for non-members and single month members. How many times per week would you utilize that service? And if we'd also sell or rent equipment such as bands, small dumbbells, and possibly even spin bikes that would be used for our at-home workouts, would you consider buying or renting pieces of equipment from us?

We've started working with a business coach in 2017(and it seems to be working as March was our best month in our 9 year history). He's really been challenging us to become crystal clear with our vision so that members know exactly what to expect and that we can deliver almost perfectly on those expectations. We've been working on our foundation, keys to our gym's success One is creating and developing relationships not just between our team and our members but also among members. It's become obvious from our data over the years that those members who develop relationships either by working out with friends/family or coming to our classes are not just committed to fitness more but also enjoy it more compared to those that exercise alone. The 2nd key is growth, which we believe comes from challenges. Whether it's training for a 5k, losing 5lbs, adding 20lbs to your squat, or just trying to get to the gym 12 times in a month, challenges motivate us, bring a little bit more excitement to our fitness routines, and keep us committed longer. So for the 2nd half of the year, we'd really like to focus on challenging our members. One way we thought about doing this is allowing our 12 month members to commit to a personal challenge each quarter. Simply write it on our blackboard (any challenge you want), and if you reach it before the end of the quarter, we'll give you a limited edition Ageless t-shirt. And if you're a brand new member to the gym, we challenge you to either lose 5lbs or exercise 12 times by the end of your first month. If you do, you'll get a free t-shirt. What do you think? Would that make you a little more committed to your fitness routine?
