Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a college readiness initiative that helps students prepare    to get into college and to be successful in their studies.  The AVID teacher will guide students during high school in developing the academic and social skills needed for college completion and for entering professional careers.  In the AVID elective class, students will receive guidance and mentoring from current college students and you will work with other high school students in developing college success skills.
