The Parents Association welcomes, encourages, and needs parent involvement.

From major events to the classroom, you will find GDS parents offering their time, knowledge, and talents. Getting involved is easier than ever!

Simply take a few minutes to review the following list of opportunities for this year and select as many options as you would like. This form provides an indication of your interests but does not commit you to anything. It just allows us to reach out to see if you might want to help.

Also, be sure to come to the PA meetings to learn about upcoming opportunities.

Hospitality:

Help provide refreshments at Teacher Appreciation Events, Graduation, and Parents' Nights

Middle School Social Events:

Assist the MS Student Council in planning two events for the year (Fall and Spring) by organizing parent volunteers for set up, clean up, coordination of food and chaperoning

Senior Hospitality: Parents of SENIORS

Help us show our Seniors how proud we are with various treats and events throughout the year

Spirit Committee:

Help to build school spirit through “spirit nights” in the community, planning Teacher Appreciation Week in May, fun surprises for students and faculty all year, and just cheering on GDS!

PA Cares:

On-call volunteers support GDS families, faculty, and staff during times of need by sending a card, coordinating a meal or gift card, or sending flowers

BengalFest:

Volunteers help the day of the event at carnival games/stations, crafts, and set up/clean up.

Under the Stars Social:

Help plan our fall parent social by assisting with set-up, decor, coordination of volunteers and more.

Bengal Paws for Service:

Assist with our family day of service by helping to decide which service groups to support, coordinate sign ups, lead a project, or just be available to help the established chairs as needed for a great day of community service; Date: (Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service)

New Family Welcome Committee:

Reach out to new families as they join the GDS family to answer any questions they may have or guide them to someone who has the answers

Bengal Dash:

Volunteer the day of or leading up to our big GDS 5K race and kids' obstacle course by coordinating volunteers, publicity, awards and sponsorships.

Gala Fundraiser (every other year):

Work on a night to remember by assisting in the areas of sponsorships, silent auction, coordination of volunteers and much more; Date: Spring, 2027

Bengal Booster Club:

Help support GDS athletics by volunteering for concessions and spirit events

MAD Society:

Help support the GDS visual and performing arts programs through hospitality and volunteer activities
