Brief SEO test
An aspect of the job is deciding whether a website is a good fit for links. This means deciding whether a website is worth reaching out to and whether you should accept a link from the website.
Here are some of the metrics we look for:
  • A minimum of DR 50+ (as per Ahrefs metrics)
  • A minimum of 2000 in monthly traffic (again as per Ahrefs)
  • We focus on SaaS sites. This means sites that focus on one product or service that they sell through their website. The product/ service will often be something that can be delivered remotely (software for example). This is not necessary though. You can have great websites that do not meet this requirement.
  • The site should have a focus on one topic. It should not be covering multiple topics with no relevance to each other like "best lawn chairs" and also best credit cards.
  • The site should have a clear category (finance, marketing, software, etc.)
  • Industries we accept: finance, SaaS websites, digital marketing, social media, social media software, etc. (similar industries)
  • Make sure it has a blog and the blog covers articles relevant to marketing, digital marketing, SaaS, sales, hiring, employees, business management, social media, sales funnels, etc
  • The site has to be in English
  • Avoid a poorly designed website. Use your perspective as a user to evaluate the design of a website and make sure it is engaging.
  • Some websites will talk about marketing in a very specific niche that is not relevant to us like marketing fro doctors or something that is not actually relevant enough for clients. Avoid those sites.
  • Avoid sites that have an obvious guest post link in their menu bar.
  • Avoid anything that is not relevant like cloud software or coding software.
There is no perfect answer to these questions. We are trying to judge how you would evaluate a website and whether you understand the metrics we focus on.

The task below is a list of 10 websites. Your job is to decide whether we should accept a link from them or not.
The site should be a quality website that pays attention to the metrics above.
There is also a para format where you can explain your decision in any way you choose.
