The Melbourne University Women's Football Club (MUWFC) is one of the oldest women's football clubs in the country, established in 1996. We aim to be an a elite amateur women's football club and compete in the VAFA Women's Premier Division.
We are part of the Melbourne University Football Club, and share space and knowledge with the University Blacks and University Blues, but operate on a day to day basis as an independent club.
Round 1 will be the weekend of April 13th, 2024. With Pre-Season training commencing on the 15th of January, 6:30pm at Melbourne University Oval.
In 2023, we fielded 3 teams in the VAFA, one in the Women's Premier Division (top grade), Women's Premier Reserves Division and Women's Thirds. The season runs for 14 to 18 weeks*, with the 2023 season finishing in August for our Thirds and September for our Seniors & Reserves.
We train 2 nights a week at Uni Main, Crawford Oval or Western Oval (all in Parkville, and shared between MUFC clubs), play on Saturdays or Sundays (depending on the fixture!) and have a strong partnership with Snap Fitness Ascot Vale, our High Performance Partner. We also have great sponsors and hold many casual and formal events throughout the year! 2023 events included a Fun Run, a trivia night, a Pub Crawl, post training dinners, Lawn Bowls Day and more.
We hope to see you round 1!
