BRAZIL AND NORWAY OCEAN INDUSTRIES OUTLOOK AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
The seminar will give an outlook of the Brazilian maritime transport and offshore market, with discussions on the main legal and regulatory framework and the challenges for adapting to new regulations and technologies and its impacts on competence, safety and environmentally friendly operations. The seminar will also highlight, the process of loss prevention, investigation and trials of maritime accidents in Brazil. The new Rio de Janeiro Government´s sent Secretary of Employment and Economic Development, Lucas Tristão, to communicate, the new market environment and business opportunities for the offshore and maritime industries in the State. The panel of discussions will include representatives from the Norwegian Maritime Department, Norwegian Maritime Authority and Marine Department of AIBN to share their views on the regulatory challenges of the offshore and maritime shipping industry, based on the new IMO regulations, green shipping and digitalization. How to smartly change, adapt or adjust regulation towards fostering market opportunities. Also, reflect on what each country could learn from each other, sharing knowledge and experiences.
