The Majdi Bou-Matar Bursary, named after the visionary founder of MT Space, offers $5,000 plus a year-long mentorship with MT Space shaped around the needs of the individual recipient.
This bursary is open to Racialized (newcomer, immigrant, refugee) and/or Indigenous creators, performers, leaders, and administrators who are either emerging in their craft or in their career in the Canadian performing arts sector. The recipient must be within commuting distance of MT Space in the Waterloo Region so that the mentorship can be experienced to its fullest potential.
