We the People of Oconee County, South Carolina, in order to maximize the potential for every child in Oconee County, promote merit based achievement, ensure no student or employee is judged by race, and secure the Blessings of Liberty for future generations, do hereby insist all tenets of Critical Race Theory (CRT) be expelled from all curriculum used by the School District Of Oconee County.  Critical Race Theory is founded on Marxist political ideology and seeks to judge everyone based on race.  We believe this is antithetical to American values of individual freedom and liberty which have been fought for at home and abroad.  Previous generations of South Carolinians have fought and died so we may be judged by the content of our character and not our skin.  We are committed to ensuring this is preserved for our children and their children.
