AR AIMS AP Science Mock Reading Workshop - April 3 & 4, 2023

The AR AIMS Advanced Placement Math Mock Reading Workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 3rd & 4th, 2023. This workshop is for teachers of AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Physics 1 teachers who wish to gain more experience scoring AP Science free response questions. Participants will work under the leadership of a Question Leader who is currently serving as an AP Reader at the College Board's national AP Science Readings as well as training in small group settings (tables) with a lead AP Biology, AP Chemistry, APES or AP Physics 1 teacher from around the state.

REGISTRATION FEES: AR AIMS Schools $400 and Non-AR AIMS Schools $500
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 30th, 2023
LATE REGISTRATION: After March 30th, 2023, registration will increase by $25 per participant.
NOTE: Participants who attended the Fall 2022 AR AIMS AP Math Workshop will receive a $50 registration discount.

We will be scoring Free Response papers from the 2022 Released Free Response Questions. These exams can be accessed on AP Central or in AP Classroom.

To cancel a registration, participants MUST email Tanya Ruble, tlruble@ualr.edu with participant name and content area. Registrations received after March 30th, 2023 are nonrefundable; however, participant substitutions can be made by emailing Tanya Ruble no later than April 1st, 2023.

Lunch and snacks will be provided by AR AIMS. Breakfast and lodging is not provided.

ADE allows AP teachers to receive their 5 year AP "renewal" by attending the AR AIMS Fall AP Workshop AND the Spring Mock Reading Workshop. You must attend both workshops in the same school year for this renewal. (Note: New AP teachers must attend an APSI for their initial endorsement.) This workshop does not provide Pre-AP endorsement.
