"How to Walipini": A 3-part series
Join us for this FREE three-part class where you can learn how to build a low-cost, four-season greenhouse (called a "walipini") in your own backyard:

"Walipini: What, why, how?" - Thursday, March 21 from 6:00-7:30pm
During this first class, you'll learn about walipini's: their history, what they are, and what they're intended to do. You will also take a tour of Northeast UMC's walipini and learn about its history and the lessons learned in that project. We will also cover what goes into building your own.

"Walipini: Learning through deconstruction" - Saturday, April 27 at 9:00am (rain date is May 4)
Coffee and breakfast snack will be provided. Wear your gardening/construction clothes and prepare to get dirty!
This second class will be spent deconstructing the current walipini at Northeast UMC, which will give participants a hands-on opportunity to apply your knowledge about what goes into building your own.

"Walipini: Learning through reconstruction" - Date & time TBD
The final class will be rebuilding a new walipini in accordance to city code!

Classes will start at Northeast UMC - 2535 Cleveland St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418
