Offer to host a Ukrainian individual or family

Thank you for your interest in hosting a person or people from Ukraine! More than three years have passed since the full-scale invasion, but the need for hosts to help refugees come to the UK is sadly still substantial. As Ukraine faces severe energy shortages and sustained blackouts as well as daily missile and drone attacks, hundreds of Ukrainians have contacted us to request our assistance in finding them a sponsor so that they can find safety and security in the UK. We urgently need your help!

Communities for Ukraine is a collaboration between two charities, Citizens UK and Ukrainian Sponsorship Pathway UK (USPUK), that have been awarded ‘Recognised Provider’ status by the UK Government to match refugees with hosts under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. We have successfully secured hosts for more than 500 Ukrainian families in the UK, and are highly experienced in helping sponsors through the application and matching process. We take care to ensure that the most suitable guest possible is found for each sponsor. To help with this, the following form requests information about yourself and your accommodation which we will need in order to find a suitable match.

This form is aimed at prospective sponsors who are willing to get matched with Ukrainian in need. If you already know whom you would want to host - individual or a family, and need further support on help with visa application/escalation, then you don't need to fill in this form. Please contact our team directly via sponsors@uspuk.org

This form takes around five minutes to fill out. Once you have completed it, we will email you to arrange a call with some of our team members to discuss your sponsor application further and answer any questions you may have, as well as asking some of our own. You can expect an email from us within two days of filling out the form (please check your junk email folders just in case!) and we may also phone to follow up. Please check you inbox and junk folders within 3 days after filling in the form.

The reference must be sent from someone from your community, neighbourhood or workplace who has known you for at least 3 years and can vouch for your good character. The reference should be sent to this email address (sponsors@uspuk.org) in the form of a short letter including information about you as a person and why you would be good for this role. Character references cannot be provided by family members. If the reference is provided by a registered charity, please make sure you include the registered charity number.
