Board of Directors Interest Form

Thanks for your interest in supporting Irvington Counseling Collective!

We’re a nonprofit therapy practice working to make mental health care more accessible—especially for folks who have been historically excluded or harmed by traditional mental health systems.

Our Board of Directors plays a key role in shaping the future of this work. Board members offer lived-experience informed insight, support community engagement, and help us grow in ways that stay true to our values. We operate using a consent-based and shared decision-making process, and aspire to center equity, collaboration, and sustainability in all we do.

You don’t need prior board experience or a background in mental health to be part of our board. We welcome folks who care deeply about justice, healing, and building more supportive systems—and especially encourage those who are Queer, Trans, Black, Brown, Indigenous, Disabled, or otherwise underrepresented in nonprofit leadership to express interest. We offer stipends for members from underrepresented groups to support board participation.

We ask that board of directors members commit to a two year term and participate in at least one committee. Board meetings occur monthly on the third Tuesday of the month. Committee meetings generally occur monthly as well.

We are currently seeking individuals with experience in the fields of finance, fundraising, human resources and legal in order to round out the expertise of the board. However, we are not limiting applications to individuals with those backgrounds and encourage anyone who is interested to apply.

Filling out this form isn’t a commitment—it just lets us know you’d like to learn more. We’ll follow up with more details and a formal application.

We’re so glad you’re here.
