GENERAL INFORMATION:
Message to Europeans 3.0 project aims to inspire young people’s civic engagement via an innovative methodology of debate based on experiential learning activities that strengthen their civic identity, critical thinking, communication skills and promotes leadership in civic life. Through debates, simulations, local civic initiatives, and mock trials, University students from 12 countries discussed in 5 events pan-European issues (migration crisis, populism, economic crisis, future of Europe) and they will finish with the Brussels event, proposing a new narrative for Europe, on 19 -21 February 2019.

Tuesday, 19 Feb 2019
09:00 - 14:00: Arrivals & lunch on your own
15:00 - 18:30: Panel at the European Parliament - Dreaming the Future of Europe
Presentation of the project by the students that led it; focus on the 4 resolutions of the project that encapsulate the new narrative of the Europe project, as seen by young people. The panel will involve also a debate with policy makers and experts.

09:30 - 12:30: Working in groups - Communicating the Future of Europe
This will be a sharing time of ideas and experiences between the participants on how to be an active citizen, a multiplier, a student leader able to engage people in debating on the future of the Europe project. How can citizens be better informed on the EU politics and policies and held institutions accountable? How can institutions have a more dynamic, transparent and user friendly relationship and communication approach with citizens?
12:30 - 13:30: Lunch
13:30 - 14:30 Transfer to European Parliament
14:30 - 18:00: Debating the Future of Europe
This will be a series of debates on topics like active citizenship and European governance. Young people and experts on EU politics and policies will duel each other with thought provoking arguments. It's time to bring hard and uncomfortable truths back into the public arena and make some hard, yet informed, choices!
19:30 - 22:00: Dinner all together

09:30 - 11:45: Panel - Deciding the Future of Europe
Democratic deficit? What about vision deficit? Or a communication deficit? This panel will wrap up the 2 days of the event: students will report back their communication recommendations and debate with experts the vision for the next European elections.
11:45 - 12:30: Closing remarks
12:30 - 13:30: Celebration lunch
13:00 - Free time & departures
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Besides this form, which includes questions about you and the role you would like to have in Brussels, we ask you to send us:
1. your CV in English (in .pdf format and max 1 page).
2. a video of max 1 min explaining a contribution from you to one of the three resolutions
3. a comment with your contribution on one of the 3 resolutions (

4. a post on your social media accounts on something related to the European Union politics or policies tagging the project
5. Deadline to apply: 6 January 2019. Successful applicants will be informed by 11 January. Please do not book travel before receiving a written confirmation from EucA staff.
All this information must be provided in English.

LOGISTICS
Travel - we reimburse you up to 150€
In case of a successful application, EucA will reimburse your travel costs up to a maximum of 150€ (exceptions have to be agreed in advance with EucA staff).
Arrivals should be in the morning of 19 February and departures in the afternoon of 21 February. Exceptions are highly discouraged and have to be agreed in advance with EucA staff. Failure to do so will jeopardise your reimbursements.
Please do not book travel before receiving a written confirmation from EucA staff.
Accommodation - free
We cover the 2 nights of the event, we will notify you very soon the location of the hostel.
This means that arrivals are possible starting from Tuesday and departures can be up to Thursday. But you need to tell us in advance your travel arrangements in order to optimise room arrangements.
Please do not book anything until your presence has been confirmed by the EucA staff!
Note: when making your travel arrangements, you can choose to arrive earlier or depart later from Brussels than the dates of the event. That's OK, but be advised we do not cover extra accommodation.
