AOIR Working Group
This working group was born out of a request for mentorship with dealing with the computational/programmatic aspects of social media data. The core purpose of the group is peer-learning and peer-mentoring about different methods for social media research, how to use them, and what the implications of each method may be.

This AOIR working group has been established specifically to facilitate social media research by providing an infrastructure through which 1) grad students can identify peers or faculty mentors who can provide social media research tutoring or tutorials on the research process for anything from data collection methods & tools through  visualization & reporting of findings; and 2) existing scholars can acquire tools & techniques from their faculty peers to supplement their current social media research skills or expand into this research domain using the resources provided herein.
