Thanks for your interest in getting involved with the NYC chapter of the Awesome Foundation. We are a group of individuals who get together every month, contribute $100 each, and collectively make one $1,000 grant to a project that will make New York a more Awesome place.

"Awesome" is defined by the trustees, both individually and collectively, and we are looking for trustees who can help us shape our role in the giving ecosystem of this city.

Right now, there are two main ways to get involved in the NYC chapter of the Awesome Foundation: as a guest trustee or a full-time trustee.

A guest trustee is a one-time role: you read the grant applications for a certain month, attend that month's meeting, help choose the winner, and contribute $100 to that month's grant. It's a great way to help make NYC a bit more awesome even if you're super busy. (In lieu of donations, we especially welcome guest trustees!)

A full-time trustee attends our monthly AND is expected to support AwesomeNYC in additional ways such as helping with community outreach to get more grants in the door, handling our social media accounts, event planning, etc. Sure it's more work, but it's also that much more fun!
