BEFORE YOU START - Please ensure you have read and understood the information document - paying special attention to the criteria we'll be assessing your application against (on page 8).
1. Understanding of our Model and your capacities to deliver
1a. Why do you want to start a With One Voice choir in your local community? Which aspects of the WOV Model appeal to you and why?
1b. Establishing a high-quality and sustainable program requires a committed person to act as Coordinator and an organisation to lend support and resourcing (at least initially). Please tell us about you and your organisations capabilities and experience.
2. Your local Community
2a. Please tell us what makes your local community unique and why our model would be successful here. Include demographics, specific disadvantage and other relevant information.
2b. Community need and research undertaken. Are you aware of similar programs in your town/ area? If so explain to us how these programs would be equally successful.
3. Who will help you achieve a well-supported program?
3a. Critical to a choir's success is your With One Voice Organising committee? Please list their skills/talents/ knowledge and reasons for involvement. Also list the roles they will undertake if successful.
4. How will you achieve a financially sustainable program?
4a. Does your supporting organisation have the capacity to contribute to and/or independently secure any of the necessary Start-up funds? We are interested in supporting organisations who have this capacity as it enables us to provide support to more choirs in more locations.
4b. What in-kind support can you and/or your supporting organisations provide towards this program in the first year and subsequent years?
4c. Can you outline the support that you have secured from the business/local community in order to assist with the future financial viability of the choir? Letters of support are useful.
5. Achieving Diversity
How do you plan on ensuring that diversity/ inclusion exists in the choir and that it is not just focused on a particular group of people?
How do you plan on attracting both the advantaged and disadvantaged? This 'engineered' diversity is a key aspect to any With One Voice Program.
6. Apart from a well-functioning committee and a good plan, a successful With One Voice Social Franchise also has the following? Tell us more about them.
6a. Your conductor
6b. Your rehearsal details: day of week, time of day
6c. Your venue - size (capacity to cope with 50+ people), location, access to transport, cost.
6d. Your supper provider
7. PLAN AND TIMELINE
Please attach a plan/ timeline you would follow to establish and sustain your With One Voice program
8. Anything further to add?
Please outline anything else you think is important or unique about your application to start a With One Voice program in your community.
