Your petitioners request that the Tablelands Regional Council acquire land to preserve Yungaburra’s iconic and now threatened Peterson Creek walking track and its surrounding wildlife habitat.

The Peterson Creek Walk traverses a magnificent section of the creek which provides a unique habitat for our platypus, possums and the elusive tree kangaroo! The central section (and most important part of the walk) is under threat due to a development application over the area. Thousands and thousands of people walk the track annually. The Tablelands cannot lose this iconic part of the track!
