Frontline for Freedom launched as a student-led campaign on campuses to resist Trump's autocratic attacks on student rights, organizing & our communities. Read more on the overview here.
We're searching for student firefly to lead their anti-authoritarian Frontline campaigns on campus this fall & beyond. Ideally, a Campus Firefly is someone who:
- Has campus/student organizing experience and strategically escalated & built capacity to win campaigns/demands and can share their experience
- Understands authoritarian practices, creative action strategies/tactics (esp. those that apply in a campus/student organizing context)
- Has capacity through the semester to support outreach efforts, lesson-planning, and check-in with mentors.
As a Campus Firefly, we recommend you spend approximately 8-10 hours per week to:
- Have weekly 1:1 meetings with a mentor we connect you with
- Participate in weekly group Tuesday trainings with all students (8-9PM ET/5-6PM PT)
- Continuously recruit and engage students to build political and organizing capacity
- Coordinate team check-ins and outline/track campus campaign goals
