This year we’re changing the tier system into “pro” and “amateur”. With the pro level, you will have access to paid and unpaid opportunities. Amateur level photographers will have access to unpaid opportunities to gain experience and exposure. However, amateur photographers will have the chance to be considered for promotion after having completed 3 opportunities with the program.
Please indicate whether you consider yourself pro or amateur in the form below. This will not guarantee your placement in either tier, however. Pro photographers will be contacted for a short interview, while regular photographers will not need to interview. In addition to that, the photos you sent in will also be taken in consideration for pro tier placement.
This change is to make sure accurately match photographers’ skill with the requirement of each opportunity. Despite this change, the program will operate very similarly to last year. Opportunities will be posted on the Facebook group to claim. Pro opportunities will be tagged [PRO] to distinguish among unpaid events.
Aside from that, we will be enforcing the rule that every photographer will have to complete at least 3 opportunities in the year. We understand that everyone has outside commitments, but this would ensure you will get the most out of the program.
