Thank you for your interest in a CNIT scholarship. This application helps us understand your financial circumstances, barriers to participation, and how you hope to benefit from the training or program.
Scholarship funding is limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee an award. Most scholarships cover a portion of the registration or tuition fee. Final award amounts depend on demonstrated need, available funding, and program capacity.
SCHOLARSHIP OPTIONS
Foundational Training
Applications are reviewed separately for CNIT’s four annual Foundational Training cohorts:

Summer — Seattle area

Fall — Maryland
Apply for the specific cohort you plan to attend. Application deadlines and expected decision dates are listed on the corresponding training page. Applications for each cohort are reviewed together.
Other Professional Trainings
Scholarship requests for advanced trainings, specialty workshops, and other CNIT professional education are generally reviewed on a rolling basis while program-specific funds remain. Scholarships may not be available for every training.
Public Nature Programs
Reduced-cost or no-cost spaces may be available for selected community workshops, retreats, hikes, and other public nature programs. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so please apply as early as possible before the program.
How decisions are made
CNIT considers:

Financial need and the amount you can contribute

Barriers to accessing the training or program

How you plan to use or benefit from the experience

Potential benefit to your community or the people you serve

Available scholarship funding and program capacity
Interest-free payment plans may also be available for any remaining balance.
Late applications
Applications received after a posted deadline may be considered only if funding and program space remain. For Foundational Training, CNIT may ask whether you would like your application considered for a later cohort.
Unless specifically stated in your award notice, scholarships apply only to the registration or tuition fee and do not cover travel, lodging, meals, equipment, or other participation expenses.
