[Workshop 3c] Creating Online Quizzes
Would you like to free up some class time? If so, you should consider the Quizzes Tool in Brightspace. The majority of the questions can be auto-graded and you can leave general feedback that can be released immediately to students. Students love quick feedback! While you can create the standard multiple choice and true/false questions, you also have the ability to create fill-in-the blank, select all that apply, matching, and ordering questions. If you would like to have student respond to an open ended question, there is a written response option too! All activities created using the Quizzes tool can be timed and if a student needs an accommodation for additional time, those can be easily set at the individual level.
For this workshop you will create an activity for one of your courses. Bring a copy of the activity that you would like to convert to the session. If you don’t have an activity in mind, bring a Syllabus and you can create a Syllabus Quiz for your students to take the first week.
Recommended Prerequisites: An existing course site or Workshop 1 & 2.
This session listed below is scheduled for 1 hour. You are welcome to schedule for some 1-1 assistance outside of the session times.
