Decorating
Set up before the event, including signs, banners, staging, entry arch, sidewalk chalking, place garbage and recycling bins (which have wheels) in designated locations, and other duties as needed.

Parking Monitor
Monitor vendor and resource booth vehicle traffic during set up and break down of the event. This includes keeping vehicle traffic slow in shared pedestrian areas, warning pedestrians that a vehicle is approaching, controlling unloading and loading, keeping vehicles on paved areas and off turf areas, and directing vehicles to appropriate parking areas.

Tables & Chairs
Two teams consisting of two volunteers that work together to move 8' folding tables from dropoff area to designated resource and vendor booth and dining areas, and one volunteer to move folding chairs and set up two chairs with each table. There are fifty booths, an activity area, DJ area, and dining area.

Recycling & Garbage
Collect recycling and garbage bins, which are on wheels, and move to centralized pick up location approximately 200' from event area.

Entertainment Assistance
Assist Stage Manager with entertainers, which includes monitoring reserved entertainer parking, directing entertainers to reserved parking, helping entertainers unload equipment and move to back stage area, help return equipment to parking area, directing entertainers as needed, setting up and monitoring entertainer refreshments, and other duties as needed.

Assist Stage Manager with breaking down the back stage area, assist with moving equipment, remove stage decorations, clean up area, and other duties as needed.

Safety Monitors
Under the direction of Safety Manager (retired police officer) work with other volunteers to patrol and monitor the event, report via portable radio any concern or issue such as protesters, homophobic activities, safety issues, suspicious activities or persons, and other matters that may arise during the event that could disrupt the event, create harm, or be a safety issue. Volunteers do no confront the situation directly, but observe and report the event so that trained personnel can respond, and other duties as needed.

Assist with set up and take down of activities, moderate discussions, introduce speakers, provide directional assistance, answer questions, monitor refreshments, and other duties as needed.

Assist with set up or take down of activity area, lead or monitor activities and games, maintain activities in a fun and safe manner for all participants, assure children are accompanied by an adult, promote activities, monitor refreshments, provide directional information, and other duties as needed.

Youth Slide
Monitor and control youth use of the slide, including controlling the flow of youth entering the slide and assisting youth with exiting the slide, keeping the slide landing area clear for incoming sliding youth, maintain fun and safety for all participants, assure children are accompanied by an adult, assure fair use of the slide, assist with any accident by requesting assistance, and other duties as needed.

Gate & Parking Monitor
Control main gate at entrance to event area from East 5th Avenue, opening gate for vendors and organizations for access only, prevent vehicles except food trucks from parking in area, keep vehicles moving slow due to pedestrians, and warn pedestrians of vehicles entering and exiting the area.
