Shadeways Mapping Project Research
This research is being conducted as part of the Commonwealth Smart Cities and Suburbs Program, investigating strategies for effective green infrastructure in Australian cities, towns and suburbs.
In changing climates, the capacity to understand the interaction between community and local outdoor environments is critical. In the case of urban heat and provision of shade, these interactions present profound consequences of social interaction, daily activities and quality of life. This research seeks to understand how these interactions take place in different urban routes in a regional city in Victoria, Australia.
